HARTFORD, Conn. –
The Connecticut Army National Guard’s Joint Cyber Team continues to significantly progress in strengthening cybersecurity defenses statewide. Since their initial assessment, the team has ramped up operations, booking 79 cybersecurity assessments, with 39 completed.
Traveling across Connecticut, the dedicated team—comprised of SGT Ian Heath, SGT Jesus Morales, SGT Damien Vega, SGT Marcielis Jiminez, and PFC Conner Finch—has been working diligently to support K-12 schools, municipalities, public health districts, public water/wastewater facilities, and councils of governments (COGs). Their collaboration with the Connecticut Division of Emergency Management and Homeland Security (DEMHS) aims to identify vulnerabilities and fortify defenses against cyber threats.
With assessments still open for scheduling, the Joint Cyber Team remains committed to helping public organizations enhance their cybersecurity posture. Organizations interested in strengthening their cybersecurity resilience are encouraged to reach out to Ian.heath@ct.gov and secure an assessment while availability remains.
