Erkson joined the Connecticut National Guard in February 1984 assigned to the 248th Engineer Company as a 62F Lifting and Loading Operator, during his enlisted time he earned two additional Military Occupational Specialties. He was appointed the rank of Warrant Officer One upon graduating the Warrant Officer Career College, Fort Rucker, Alabama in May 1998. CW5 Brian R. Erkson has earned both the 915E Unit Maintenance Technician and 882A Mobility Officer Military Occupational Specialties.
